Leadership, Sales & Operations

I didn't plan on building a career in home care. At 23, I walked into a struggling agency with a business degree, no real experience, and a team that had lost direction. I didn't have a clear plan, but I had a strong instinct to figure things out and make it work. That experience ended up shaping everything that came next.

I rebuilt that agency into a $3.5M operation, and after selling it, I stepped into coaching roles with Nurse Next Door and A Place at Home, where I worked alongside owners across the country and got a real look at what was actually happening inside their businesses.

"What stood out was not effort. These were owners who cared, who were working hard, and who were doing everything they had been told should work — yet some were growing while others stayed stuck."

I started paying attention to what was different — not just in what they were doing, but in how they were thinking, how they made decisions, who they hired, and how they led when things got hard. Over time, patterns started to show up, and once I saw them, I could not unsee them.

Owners were not asking for another script or tactic. They were trying to understand why what they were already doing was not working, and a big part of that kept coming back to their team — who was in the wrong seat, where they were holding on too long, and how often hiring was based on instinct instead of clarity.

Today, I work directly with home care owners to help them see what is really happening inside their business, make better decisions faster, and build a team that can actually execute with them instead of relying on them for everything.

I also stepped into the role of a Team Diagnostics Advisor, because hiring kept coming up as one of the biggest gaps, and most owners are still guessing.

My work sits across leadership, sales, and operations, but it all ties back to helping owners build something that can grow without everything depending on them to hold it together.

Operations, Finance & Sustainable Growth

I began my journey in healthcare as a critical care nurse, serving over a decade at the bedside before transitioning into leadership. My time in the U.S. Navy instilled discipline, strategic thinking, and a mission-driven mindset — qualities that have shaped my approach to leadership and problem-solving ever since.

As I moved into operational and executive roles — including leadership positions at Bayada and Visiting Angels, and my current role as VP of Revenue Cycle Management at AxisCare — I kept coming back to the same question: why do some agencies build something sustainable, while others stay stuck in the same cycles no matter how hard they work?

"The problem is misalignment. When leadership, strategy, and systems don't fit the way an owner naturally leads, growth begins to feel forced instead of sustainable."

I thrive on collaborating with cross-functional teams, leveraging data-driven insights, and developing innovative strategies to navigate the evolving home care landscape. But what drives me most is what I've seen up close across three decades in this industry — owners who care deeply, doing everything right on paper, and still stuck because the approach doesn't match how they actually think, decide, and operate.

That is not a strategy problem. It is a misalignment problem. And it is solvable. Real breakthrough rarely comes from adding more complexity. Often it comes from removing friction — from helping owners build systems and teams that actually fit how they lead, so the business can move forward with far less resistance.

That is what pulled me into this work. And it is what keeps me in it.

Why We Work Together

We kept seeing the same things.

After working with owners in different markets and roles, we both started seeing the same patterns show up again and again.

When we compared what we were seeing, they lined up. Different owners, different markets, same friction around leadership, hiring, and growth not working the way it should.

That is where our work together started.

"What came out of it is the LENS Method — built from real experience inside agencies and alongside owners, designed to help you understand how you lead and build a business that can actually move because of it."

The Philosophy

Growth without burning people out — including yourself.

We believe most home care agencies are built in misalignment with how the owner naturally leads.

Driver Connector Methodical Humanitarian

When your agency doesn't match how you're wired, it shows up everywhere. In your team. In your systems. In your growth.

01

Understand your leadership style.

You can't build the right agency if you don't understand how you naturally lead. Your wiring shapes how you think, decide, communicate, and operate every day. Until you have clarity on that, everything else will feel harder than it should.

02

Make the right shifts.

Each leadership style has different strengths — and different blind spots. Driver. Connector. Methodical. Humanitarian. The shifts you need depend on how you're wired. Without that awareness, you'll keep making changes that don't move the business forward.

03

Build the right team and systems around you.

Growth isn't about hiring more people. It's about building the right team and right systems to support how you lead. When both are aligned to your wiring, work moves forward without everything coming back to you.

04

Your leadership shapes the experience.

Your caregivers, your clients, and your office team experience your leadership every day. That experience either creates burnout — or a team that grows and thrives alongside you. And that's what ultimately drives or limits your growth.

The Tool

The L.E.N.S. Method™

Leadership is delivered in one language — but people learn, decide, and act in four different ways. The L.E.N.S. Method bridges that gap without lowering standards.

L

Lead Through Action

The Driver

Action creates clarity.

Deductive learners thrive when given clear objectives and permission to move immediately.

E

Engage Through Connection

The Connector

Belief precedes behavior.

Inductive learners require shared meaning and deep understanding of human impact.

N

Navigate With Structure

The Methodical

Clarity precedes action.

Build confidence through logic, step-by-step systems, and defined processes.

S

Serve Through Meaning

The Humanitarian

Internal alignment drives action.

They must see how decisions serve the mission and protect people.
